Welcome to the website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter. We are elated you have decided to visit our page. Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter has a rich legacy of service to the Los Angeles community. We are theoldest and largest graduate chapter in the Far Western Region chartered by eleven trailblazing women on October 1, 1927.

For 97 years, Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter has proudly upheld its commitment to the lifelong journey of Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service to All Mankind. Dedicated to making a lasting impact, the chapter has provided exemplary service to the communities in the Los Angeles area while continuing to award scholarships to deserving students, fostering the next generation of leaders.

Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter is supported by The Ivy Heritage Foundation, Inc.®, established in November 1999 as our charitable arm. Through this foundation, we fund our community service programs, impactful projects, and scholarships. Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter also proudly supervises two undergraduate chapters: Iota Beta, located on the campus of the University of Southern California, and Tau Kappa, located on the campus of Loyola Marymount University.

 

Under the leadership of our International President, Danette Anthony Reed, and our Far Western Regional Director Nichole Starr Jordan, Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter is Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood. Alpha Kappa Alpha’s 2022-2026 International Program focuses on:

Guided by our unwavering commitment to service, dedication to uplifting our local communities, and a deep reservoir of strength, we proudly continue to impart a lasting legacy of scholarship, service, and sisterhood. As always, we warmly extend a special invitation to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® who are seeking a Chapter to call home. If you are searching for a Chapter filled with compassionate, like-minded sisters devoted to the goals and ideals of our cherished sisterhood, we invite you to consider Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter. Our chapter meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month, except for January, July, August (summer recess), and September.
