President Cheryl Lynn Mason's Message


Greetings & Welcome to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated   Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter Website!   


It is a privilege to serve as the President of this historic chapter.  Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter is the oldest and largest graduate chapter in the Far Western Region, chartered on Saturday, October 1, 1927.   


For 95 years, Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter has remained committed to the lifelong journey of Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service to All Mankind.  Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter has provided exemplary service to the communities in Los Angeles and continues to provide scholarships to deserving students.     


Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter is supported by The Ivy Heritage Foundation established in November 1999, our charitable arm, which funds all of our community service programs, projects and scholarships. Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter supervises two undergraduate chapters. Iota Beta located on the campus of University of Southern California and Tau Kappa located on the campus of Loyola Marymount University.  


Programs are the Heart of our Organization and under the leadership of our International President and CEO, Danette Anthony-Reed, our Sorority’s 2022-2026 program theme is Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood.    


The International Program includes six initiatives:

Advocate for Social Justice
Uplift Our Local Community
